Polycarbonate Flow Meters

Key Instruments, a premier flow meter manufacturer, features molded tube flowmeters of exceptional polycarbonate thermoplastic materials. Our thermoplastic flow meters are precision molded to be the economical and durable choice for a broad range of flow instrumentation and measurement needs. When selecting polycarbonate air, water, or gas flow meters you are assured that you will receive high value at a competitive cost.

Advantages of Polycarbonate Flow Meters

The tough, dimensionally sound, and transparent properties of polycarbonate make these thermoplastic materials suitable for numerous high-performance applications. Such properties are maintained over a broad range of temperatures for superior versatility. The cross linking of carbonate containing groups and polymer chains is what makes polycarbonate so durable. The high impact strength of polycarbonate makes this type of flowmeter virtually unbreakable and, therefore, safe for use in systems or products where parts may be exposed to severe impact.

Features of Key Instruments’ Polycarbonate Flow Meters:

  • Economical and durable
  • Resistant to extreme heat and severe impact
  • Chemically compatible
  • Easily installed

At Key Instruments we rate our materials based on their cost, maximum operating temperature, maximum operating pressure, chemical compatibility, and durability. We created this rating system to provide our customers with the data they need to make the right decision on what Key Instruments flow meter will perform best in their flow instrumentation and measurement applications. The maximum operating temperature for polycarbonate and polysulfone flow meters is 150°F (65°C), the maximum operating pressure is 100 psig (6.9 bar). Polycarbonate offers a high chemical resistance to ammonium chloride, citric acid, detergent solution, diesel fuel, sulfuric acid, and more. Find out more information on polycarbonate chemical compatibility.

With precision manufacturing, Key Instruments is able to manufacture molded tube series of high quality air, water, liquid, and gas flowmeters made from polycarbonate. Whether for custom and OEM applications, we offer several options to our customers that are guaranteed to improve the performance of flow instrumentation and measurement. Floats can range from black glass, to stainless steel, to carboloy, to ruby-sapphire; to any custom material you may need. These serve as just a few examples of the options available to Key Instruments’ customers.

Your cost-to-durability ratio is unmatched, with polycarbonate flow meters from Key Instruments.

At Key Instruments, our success is built on recognizing that product manufacturers need more from their flow instrumentation suppliers than simply providing a standard product catalog.  Manufacturers of medical equipment, industrial gas mixing and distribution systems, aquaculture control equipment, gas and liquid analyzers, water handling and treatment skids, and many others continue to partner with us due to our unique ability to drive costs out of the final product. When maintaining a world-class supply chain is critical, premier product manufacturers call Key.
